Zion Miners Chapel and Community Room is situated in the ex-coal mining village of Llanhilleth and stands as a testament to the faith, courage and sense of community held by the coal miners of Llanhilleth Colliery .A heritage that we are very proud of and one which we aim to carry forward into the future, which will provide a place where everyone can meet and take part in community engagement. We aim to provide a safe, comfortable environment where people of all ages and abilities and faith’s can meet and enjoy companionship, learn new skills, and promote health and well being.
“Our aim is to serve the Community, In the Community, For the good of the Community”
Providing a base for both spiritual and community events.
At Zion Miners Chapel we aim to make everyone feel welcome and cared for
Historically, this chapel is built on a foundation set by the local miners. As seen on our history page, you can discover the rich history that we strive to continue up holding the values and visions of the Miners of Llanhilleth Colliery for better lives for our Community.
Zion Miners Chapel is located on High Street in Llanhilleth, right in the heart of the village. Just off the B4471, the Zion Miners Chapel building can be found on the left side of the road just after you have entered Llanhilleth, coming from Soffryd.
